It is completely normal for new clay fire bricks to have minor surface cracks, chips, or colour variations. These aesthetic imperfections do not affect the bricks’ structural integrity or performance in high-temperature applications. The manufacturers note that such marks are a result of the natural firing and cooling process and the inherent properties of the clay material.
Manufactured by Stove Care and Repair from high quality, high density vermiculite and will withstand temperatures in excess of 1100°C (2010°F).
